Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information 2Click ("2Click", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the 2Click mobile app and this website (2clickapp.com). If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].

The short version

2Click sends files directly from one device to another. Your files are never uploaded to, stored on, or scanned by our servers. We only handle the small amount of information needed to sign you in, help two devices find each other, and send a wake-up notification so a transfer can start.

Information we collect

Account information

To use 2Click you sign in with an account (handled by Google Firebase Authentication). This gives us your email address and a unique account identifier so your shares belong to you and so you can pause or remove them.

Transfer coordination data (not your files)

To set up a direct connection between two devices, we temporarily process:

Session details: a share's file names, sizes, and types, plus a random session identifier. This lets the receiver see what is being shared and lets a transfer resume. The file's real location on your device is replaced with an opaque identifier and never leaves your device.
Signaling data: short-lived connection messages (the technical handshake two devices exchange to connect). These are deleted after the connection is made.
Presence: whether your device is currently online, so the app knows whether to connect directly or send a wake-up.

The contents of your files are not included. Files travel directly device to device over an encrypted WebRTC connection. We cannot see, store, or scan them.

Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send a data-only "wake-up" so a sleeping app can serve a download. This uses a push token tied to your device install.

Waitlist (this website)

If you join the pre-launch waitlist on this site, we store the email address you submit and a coarse country signal, so we can email you when 2Click launches. The list is stored on Cloudflare and protected from bots by Cloudflare Turnstile. You can ask us to remove your email at any time.

Technical data

Our hosting and infrastructure providers keep standard logs (such as IP address and request information) to operate the service securely and prevent abuse.

How we use information

To sign you in and keep your shares tied to your account.
To connect two devices and let transfers complete and resume.
To send wake-up notifications so downloads can start.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
To email you about the launch, if you joined the waitlist.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of service providers:

Google Firebase for sign-in, connection signaling, and notifications.
Cloudflare for hosting this website, the waitlist, and TURN relay servers. When two devices cannot connect directly, transfer traffic may pass through a relay; it stays encrypted and the relay cannot read your files.

How long we keep it

Signaling and notification records are cleaned up automatically (typically within an hour).
Your share history stays until you delete a share or your account.
Waitlist emails are kept until launch or until you ask us to remove them.

Your choices

You can delete a share, or your account and its data, from within the app.
You can turn off notifications in your device settings.
You can ask us to access or delete your information, or unsubscribe from the waitlist, by emailing [email protected].

Security

Transfers are encrypted in transit by the WebRTC connection between the two devices. We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

2Click is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International processing

Our providers (Google and Cloudflare) may process data on servers located in other countries. By using 2Click you understand your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice.
